Just wanted to keep you guys updated on some things.
Once again a new comic is up... as it is every day at Hastily Put Together. This one is about caps. Yay. I used to wear caps a lot. Then I realized I had nice hair, so I didn't. Now my hair looks like crap again, so I'm back to caps! Yay.
Also, as of this writing... Hastily Put Together is up to... Drumroll... dot dot dot... 287! You guys rock! So do you girls! Especially you girls! Lolz!
Seriously, that's really wicked considering this strip is only like a month and a week or two old. Keep voting guys. Let's see how we fair now that the ranking are extremely competitive. 8)
And Lastly, A Very Special Happy Birthday To My Older Brother, Pete. Happy Birthday, Pete. :) <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
Take care, Guys. Keep voting. It'll be funnier tomorrow. I promise.
First thing i'd like to mention tonight is another plug to my good english buddy, Marc. He runs the Metallic Grass site, a fun place with lots of fun strips of his. If you're wondering why I'm plugging him again, it's because his current bit of brilliance BEAR STORIES features a funky guest-strip by yours truly. ;) Also because 'Bear Stories' a really funny-cute strip. :) Check out my contribution to an already LOLZERIFFIC series here. You rock, Marc.
In other comic news... Questionable Content had a hilarious mini-tribute to Calvin and Hobbes the other day. Well, if C&H had booty-dances. OMG TOO CUTE. I friggin' love that strip.
In other news... You're voting of this strip is friggin' awesome. Keep it up. We're currently hovering in the 320s (327 currently). Good work guys. I know I say this many times, but you guys rule.
And new NIN songs got leaked this week too. :O It's a great week, folks. 8) Enjoy The funny.
Hey guys, Just wanted to say that you rocked. "Hastily Put Together: The Webcomic" is currently up to 373! That's well past 500. Keep voting, readers. Maybe we can make it to 300? Ok, how about 365?
Also, sorry for the delay of yesteday's comic. I was able to update it at the odd hours of the morning because I had been out all night. The Delay would have been longer, but I anticipated a problem, so I made sure I was able to update it away HPT Headquarters. I'm clever that way. Yup.
And yes, this update features Polar Bears. There's another one dealing with a Polar Bear coming soon, so stay tuned for that.
More comics tomorrow! Did you want more monsters? Ok. I can swing that. Mice? Sure.
Hey Guys, How are things in ReaderLand? Everything all happy and wicked? Great.
I have a headache tonight, so I won't go to heavy into the update.
I'll just say two things.
1) Thanks for continuing to vote. You guys rock. We Passed our goal of 680! We're now up to 524 as of this writing. That's 59 for Cartoony-Weird-Humour strips. I don't know what that means exactly... but hey... I'm not arguing. I'm sure we'll climb higher as the night goes on... or sink deeper... but that doesn't matter, because:
2)There's a new Comic up tonight! Yay!
So spread that Hastily Put Together word. Tell your Hastily Put Together pals. Call up your Hastily Put Together league. There's a new comic up... and it deals with puppets. Ain't that rad? Oh yea. It certainly is.
Thanks For Voting on BuzzComics Guys. When I first signed up I was about 4970-something... But now I'm up to 684! Woot! Granted... it's not in the top 100... But it's getting there. Keep it coming guys. Just hit that flashy-snazzy orange thing on the bottom and get me up to 680! I have realistic goals. 8)
Also, I'd like to plug a new strip that my buddy Marc from Metallic Grass started. It's about BEARS. Stay Tuned for some exciting Special Guests on their SOON.
New comic up tonight, and it's continuing that monster theme. Because Valentine's day is about monsters. :)
OMG SOME ACTUAL HASTILY PUT TOGETHER SITE UPDATE NEWS? *SHOCK*
Hey Kiddies, I've got a 'Hastily Put Together' news update for you guys.
I've done the unthinkable and started promoting this site. *gasp*
I'm now listed over at OnlineComics.Net. You can check out the swanky listing -- I really don't know why you would, it's just a listing :\ -- over here.
I also decided to sign-up at The buzzComix Top 100 because I enjoy seeing myself ranked really, really, really low due to total obscurity.
If you want to change that, clicky the link way below. It'll also be found on every comic page for easy access. If you're too lazy to find it *sigh* I've included it directly below. See? It's bright and orange and really clashes with this site's black and white layout. Oh... and please no stuffing the ballot box, Fluffy. You're a great doggie, but cheating isn't acceptable. >:( However... remembering to vote every single-dingle-tingle day is fine by me. Yes, I was talking to my doggie. He just got a Mac. And no, he's not named Fluffy. It's Mr. Fluffy-McDuffy-Pants The Third.
Okay... I'm rambling again, aren't I? Hmm... So yea... Voting would be swell. Oh, and remember, a new comic later tonight... like in 8 and a half hours or so... or something...
And possibly more tinkering to this site's layout too.
That went by pretty quickly... And I've updated everyday now, so those 5 people that know about this site have sure been getting spoiled. I kid. It's really like 6. Okay... 3 of those are just me... but still.
I really appreciate the feedback that I've been getting, and it makes me realize I should publicize this site more. It seems like a lot of you really like this comic, and I'm really glad that you do. :) Everyone seems to have a favourite... which is really cool considering they're all different favourites. So, I must be doing something right. Or something very wrong. : Today's cartoon was inspired by Steinbeck. Yes. That Steinbeck. I remember years ago (we're talking eons and eons and eeyores ago) seeing 'Of Mice And Men' (the one with Malkovich and Sinise) and then a few years later in grade 9 I read the book. And the book was a lot cooler. Why? 'Coz it had a giant talking rabbits. Sure, it was way in the end... and really just a hallucination... BUT IT WAS STILL THERE. And the movie left that part out. Which is a shame. BECAUSE GIANT RABBITS ARE THE GREATEST THING EVER. I don't care if it's a hallucination. I don't care if it's invisible like with 'Harvey'. I don't even care if it's mentioned in passing, like: "Hey Bob, I got my car fixed and then I walked past a giant rabbit." A giant rabbit always wins. And the film missed out on a golden opportunity. Yup. Today's strip tried to capture some of that. It's a different context, of course. And maybe not so much influenced by Steinbeck...
Hay Hay Hastily Put Together... or some better catchphrase for a webcomic with more "funny"
Hey All, I'm back and better... barely... but it's a start.
Couple of things...
1) THERE'S A NEW WEBCOMIC. *CUE SHOCKED LOOK*
Yup. Did I mention that Hastily Put Together, the webcomic your currently looking at updates E-V-E-R-Y-D-A-Y?
I have?
Several times?
Oh. :(
Well it does!
And today is no exception!
Huzzah!
2) I'd like to give another plug to Marc over at Rust for being such a swell guy... and for giving me a plug himself. *wink wink*.
No, that wasn't meant to sound dirty. :If you like robots and rockstars... you'll love Marc.
He's both. Or draws about both. Or is a rocker and maybe a robot.
Or something.
And Marc, I remembered to include a "C" this time. ;)
3)I think I am in fact the only person to really enjoy 'American Dad'.
Everyone else seems to have hates it or said it was pretty much "meh".
I happened to <3 it.
Someone on a board I frequent at said it was because I was Canadian. :(
Thanks. :(
4)More updates on this site to come! I promise!
And funnier Hastily Put Together webcomics.
No, really. :(
Coming soon... FanMail/HateMail/Questions&Answers!!!
So get your letters in at info @ hastilyputtogether.com before it's too late!
but barely.
the good thing is that the comics are still coming.
so boo-yah on that.
in other news...
caught 'American Dad' after the superbowl (yay pats!) and it was really friggin' funny. can't figure out why the press was slagging it. it's a really funny show. and not in the same vein of family guy. it's a totally other type of a vein. maybe varicose. or jugular...
it definitely had me lolzing. and i'm sick. so it hurts when i lolz. :(
well, just a bit.
New cartoon up.
This one was done long ago and inspired after an umpteenth viewing of Carrots of the Pirabean (special plug to CW for etching that into my brain forever, *wink*), in which I noticed that film didn't have enough parrots in it. Nor eye-patches. :(
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar.
As for news...
I just checked this site on IE (because, I must admit, I have kept putting that off because 1) I try to avoid using IE as much as possible and 2) It looked fine the first few times) and after viewing it... all I could think of was ahk!
Ahk!
AHK(!!!), I say, AHK! :(
If you're not using firefox, you really should.
'Coz... ugh.
I'm probably going to add a firefox link to my links page tomorrow.
And update the FAQ.
And tweak some stuff so this site looks better to those poor souls still using IE. :(
Ugh. :DID I MENTION IT LOOKS LIKE UGH?
AHK!
And in other news...
This site got linked on another linkdump type thingie.
Only this one was pretty much 95% pr0n. (ok, maybe 90%).
Success!
Unfortunately, there's no pr0n on this site... well not much at least.
I guess some of these strips could cause a furry to get their yiff on... or something. :I won't judge... really.
Uh... yea.
Nevertheless...
Thank y'all, kindly. :)
Hastily Put Together: that special place you go to during that big comedown post-self-coitus.
One day, I'm going to get a large army of poker=playing dogs and we'll enter one of those large poker tournaments. We'll go all the way to the finals. We'll be the best team of poker-playing dogs + 1 human ever.
Then... when we're at the final, final, final game, we're going to wager all of our winnings. We'll wait for our opponent to see that wager, and raise a small island in the South Pacific.
At that exact moment I'm going to cue up Bali-Ha'i on the main sound system. The tension will build. Since my Poker-Playing Dogs don't own any islands -- and since I don't own any islands -- we're going to match the stakes the best way we can.
We're going to raise a bone.
'Coz when you have an army of Poker-Playing dogs... what else are you going to do?
