That went by pretty quickly...
And I've updated everyday now, so those 5 people that know about this site have sure been getting spoiled.
I kid. It's really like 6.
Okay... 3 of those are just me... but still.
I really appreciate the feedback that I've been getting, and it makes me realize I should publicize this site more. It seems like a lot of you really like this comic, and I'm really glad that you do. :)
Everyone seems to have a favourite... which is really cool considering they're all different favourites. So, I must be doing something right.
Or something very wrong. :
Today's cartoon was inspired by Steinbeck. Yes. That Steinbeck.
I remember years ago (we're talking eons and eons and eeyores ago) seeing 'Of Mice And Men' (the one with Malkovich and Sinise) and then a few years later in grade 9 I read the book. And the book was a lot cooler.
Why?
'Coz it had a giant talking rabbits. Sure, it was way in the end... and really just a hallucination... BUT IT WAS STILL THERE.
And the movie left that part out.
Which is a shame.
BECAUSE GIANT RABBITS ARE THE GREATEST THING EVER.
I don't care if it's a hallucination. I don't care if it's invisible like with 'Harvey'. I don't even care if it's mentioned in passing, like:
"Hey Bob, I got my car fixed and then I walked past a giant rabbit."
A giant rabbit always wins.
And the film missed out on a golden opportunity.
Yup.
Today's strip tried to capture some of that.
It's a different context, of course.
And maybe not so much influenced by Steinbeck...
Okay, I'm going to stand over here now.
:(
A NEW 'HASTILY PUT TOGETHER' COMIC TOMORROW.
ENJOY!
