Some recent updates:
As mentioned a few days ago:
I bought a new Wacom tablet. Yay. It works better than the last one. Now let's see if I can repair the old one and have a spare. At the very least, maybe I can make a robot out of it... or a rectangular coaster.
Will Elder passed away. Which really sucks, if you're a fan of comics, vintage
Mad, or comedy in general.
Here's another
NY Times article on his death.
I've recently read some of the new "re-mastered" editions of the collected EC books. Man, I really miss EC.
Staying on the comics theme, I saw
Ironman a few weeks back. The fanboi in me didn't weep. Probably the best comicbook film in a long while. Here's hoping
Dark Knight continues to bring it. As for
Incredible Hulk, well... we shall see. I didn't see any Hulk-Dogs in the trailer, so maybe this one will work?
Speaking of all things comics, can someone remind me to pick up a collected trade of Warren Ellis'
Thunderbolts run if they ever make a Warren Ellis
Thunderbolt trade? #120 was all sorts
zomg. I was squeeing like an idiot over his Norman Osborn dialogue. Seriously, if you're a Green Goblin nut, run out to the stands and see if it's still on the shelf. I've been waiting for two yearsto see Osborn take up the GG mantle again, and whooo-boy... the wait was definitely worth it.
*steps out of the fanboi-geekfestgasm*
Anyhooo...
Expect more updates soon. Several projects and stuff will come to light. Including the return of
Hecch. Yes, I know you've heard that before, but this time I'm serious... barring any other personal-crises and stuff happening, of course... :\
And Oh, yeah... and I got in the
Bom again. Third year in a row. Weird. Right behind
Chapleau this time, too. Which makes a hell of a lot more sense than last year.
Well, not really. Still doesn't make much sense, but regardless, I thank the readers again for all the love and support. You're on crack, and I shouldn't be that high, but I still love you. Thanks to all those that voted this site for the best blog category as well. I knew "graphic-blogs" would take the world by storm one day... and by world, I mean Montreal. Wait until you see my army of Wacom Tablet Robots!
Until next time. More stuff... soon.
